Agricultural Education graduates are in high demand as teachers of agriculture and the related sciences in the nation's schools. For several decades, there has been a shortage of teachers of agriculture. As programs expand and new programs are added, this trend will continue.
When students decide to study in this area, they enter one of the most unique professional teacher education programs in the nation. Leading the way in professional teacher training, our curriculum will earn students with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.
The Agricultural Education program includes study in the agricultural sciences and technologies as well as professional study in educational pedagogy. In addition to coursework, students will participate in field-based internships in agricultural education. They will also participate in leadership experiences through the department's first-in-the-nation combined Collegiate FFA/4-H Club.

Certification
Students can earn Arkansas teacher certification to teach agricultural science in public schools.
